About The Role
Leading early years membership organisation the Pre-school Learning Alliance is recruiting a Press and Public Affairs Manager (maternity cover) to lead on the charity's press, public affairs and campaign activity.
The role, which is available on a full or part-time basis, will be responsible for:
  • working with the CEO to achieve the charity’s strategic business plan and operational objectives by delivering results within the remit of responsibility. 
  • delivering and progressing the charity’s press, public affairs and campaigns strategy to maximise media opportunities and attract positive coverage for the charity.
  • providing strategic support to the CEO on matters relating to the early years sector and government policy.
  • expanding the charity’s profile in Westminster, Whitehall and across the early years sector.
  • ensuring that the charity’s policy messages and member views are represented and responded to by key decision makers.
  • sustaining the charity's profile so that it remains recognised as the voice of the sector.
  • acting as the charity’s main point of contact for all public affairs, media and public relations enquiries.
The vacancy comes at a particularly exciting time for the charity as it prepares to re-brand as the Early Years Alliance in early 2019 as part of a revised membership strategy.
